Looking good there Alex!
We will have to get all the 750s on the road this spring, hopefully including yours and mine!

Congrats and best of luck,
Ben

Thank you very much, Ben. I hope to see you soon!

Hey Alex, i haven't seen your place, but I am guessing your 3 season porch isn't on ground level.  Be careful about how much weight you keep out there.  3 bikes can add up and the construction may not be great.  It would tragic if the thing collapsed with all of your bikes on it.

I only have the motors up there. No frames or wheels, or anything else. Even still, I am feeling as though I am at my max limit for the loads I want to put on the deck. I am hoping to begin moving the finished ones out.

Seriously though, nice find! I am glad you got a bike you have wanted for a long time.

We should all get together, have a beer(s) and watch you work one night.

I am very excited. I welcome all knowledge to be brought to me via a beer night.

Well you have me beat, 3 bikes (4 engines).  So when are we going to get our sweet motorcycle garage?  Wink

Haha, again Trisha is wondering the same thing. Poor Andy helped me lug this last one upstairs into the apartment; she's done the three others with me. I've got four up on the 3-season porch now...slowly pushing my luck. Let's keep searching Grin

  - "How many are you at Peter!?" - Do you really want to know? - NO, I can't keep up!

  - "You're the problem! Every time I see you I have to find a way to keep up. Grin" - Sure, blame it on me! Whatever works for you Wink - Much, much easier that way Grin

  - "Every time I see you I have to find a way to keep up. Grin" - I see a sidecar rig in your future! Shocked Shocked Shocked - Ohh boy, that'll put me over the edge. I need a breather!

But, but... Why would you need ANOTHER bike?!? Who needs three bikes Huh? You are out of your mind!!!

How many are you at Peter!? You're the problem! Every time I see you I have to find a way to keep up. Grin

My family thinks I am out of my mind. Trisha as well (3 bikes, 6 engines)! I told them that since I am turning 25 at the end of April, I've arrived early at my quarter-life-crisis. :Smiley

Ahhhh, it does feel good to play on the big league field...thanks for all the help Andy and Anders. I owe beer and coffee, respectively.

Treeve, I dug the airbox out of his garage and took it with me! While the PO said the bike ran better with pods, I had to have my airbox. There is some learning I have to do; what parts are missing, how to remove the fairing, replacing the important stuff, etc.

To answer the 550 question though, I do not want to put it on hold. I have a spare engine very close to being ready to be plugged in. The original engine rebuild did slow due to cold weather at the painting stage, so I hope to move forward in the next few weeks and button it all back up. Ultimately my hope is to get the 750 to the point of being rideable (all the updates Andy mentioned plus whatever else I find when I get a better look) all while getting the 550 back in shape. Then onto the OTHER 550 project with the hopes of selling one in the near future.

The 750 started, ran and idled pretty nicely Sunday morning so there is hope for a good turn-around on that. I'm very, very excited to have the F model as I've always liked them, and a '75 at that (haven't officially checked the #'s so it could be a '76)  Cheesy . Andy is graciously hosting the motorbike at his garage so I am hoping to get over there and take a more in depth look.

Well the idea is to see Chris so at the very least we will do the 20th unless someone chimes in with a better day either that week or the following week.

Pooh, I can't make tuesdays or thursdays, rugby has started up again for the season.  Have fun.

So let's do Wednesday! Who cares, I just picked a day because we always dance around setting them.

Does Wednesday the 20th exclude anyone?

So, seven of us have voted, but only some of us have expressed their preference. John and I would like to go to F1, Chris would not and I have no idea what Alex said Huh?. Perhaps he should be a politician.  Grin

In any event, so far the vote is to go F1 for a beer night, as you can see.

HAHA! Sorry about that. Get me in a polling thread and I feel like I am on the campaign trail.

What I tried to say is that it seems like it is a close to even mix for those who want to do an F1 beer night (4 votes) and those who do not (3 votes). So it could be a party of 4 if we bundle F1 and beer, or could be 7 if we separate and plan.

Since our beer night decisions take quite a while (even without F1 involved), why don't we just plan a quickie so that we can all see Chris pre-surgery? After that there is nothing stopping us from having another at the F1 place in the month of March or early April.

Can we say "traditional" beer night some day at the beginning of next week?

My desire to see Chris pre-surgery will far outweigh the bundling of beer and carts. If we can plan a beer night quickly then let's just do it. I am excited however for an F1 night.

The photos and the write-up are amazing! Will you be taking applications for another child? I'm quiet, clean up after myself, and you won't even know I'm there; except on vacations of course!

Beautiful trip. I'll have to get it on my list of places to visit.

Evening gents. Welcome to the local forum, Jeff! Looking forward to meeting you on the road. I frequent Candia to visit Anders and get some work done.

I put my name on the list for 2013. I'm interested in taking part again. Andy, Bethany, Ben, Steve, Peter the Bulgarian, Treeve, Anders, Crazy Larry and myself went last year to New York for a transfer to the Mid-Atlantic team. We timed our portion of the GZ ride to align with the start of the Cannonball Run out of Newburgh, NY.

Take a look at this thread:

http://nehondaguys.info/forums/index.php?topic=1448.0

It was a great trip and something I'd love to do again if all aligns properly. I've got a bike to put back together though.

For the record, your head is above the level of any fairing on any bike. Wink Isn't that also why you have a sunroof in the Subaru?

This post had me worried at first...I was thinking it was a planned ride upcoming that I will miss due to being engine-less. I am so close to being ready (I think) so I can't wait to get out there and go 90 mph down Rt. 1 with you, Andy  Grin
