Engine:

Was broken down to a million pieces just because I could.  The old cases are now scrap thanks to my handy dandy broken bolt removal skills.  Anders has a spare set floating around I got off of him.  I went to Chris's and blasted them and then went with Alex to his Dads company (which is sweet by the way) and got them ultra sonically cleaned.   Then they were painted and had Ape HD studs installed (no pic of studs sorry).

I also recently picked up a NOS set of yoshimura 812 CC pistons and rings.  I had already purchased the cheap 836cc ebay kit so now i have a choice to make.  The yosh pistons were sold with nice tapered wrist pins that are no longer available and difficult to find.  If I can figure the wrist pin situation out, I will go with the 812s.

I have everything i need to put the bottom end back together, new main bearing shells, chains, oil seals etc. etc.  Just need to find the time.

I have been in touch with Mike R.  Hopefully he will have some free time soon so I can drop the head off for a Stage 1 port job.  Then i need to get the jugs bored once the piston decision has been resolved.

Outside of that its mostly electrical, rebuilding the carbs (wont be too bad, already done a set) and buying shit (chain/sprockets, new rear shocks, fork ears, exhaust (gross) blah blah).  Optimistic estimation is compete before the end of this years riding season.  Practical estimation is ready for next season.

Treeve (or anyone else)
Do you need the gaskets for the stator cover and shift gear cover - the 2 covers on the left side of the bike.  I bought them but are not going to use them.  I will send them to you N/C if you can use them.

Whats up Treeve?

Not much.  Slowly making progress on my forever long cb750 project.  Should have the jugs back from APE in the next couple weeks then i can finish getting the engine  together.  Then its on to electrical and body work.  Bike should hopefully be on the road by next season.

Thats a nice looking head Mike did a great job! What pistons did you end up
going for? What's the end goal of the project? Getting a moto gadget for electrical?
