Oh Peter, how nostalgic of you with the new Bell helmet! I do understand, now, what you were talking about last night.

I had one just like the black Gringo model and used it riding acrossAmerica in 1992. I bought it at a garage sale but it was missing the visor and had hardly any padding inside. However it did me for 7000 miles through all weathers! I still have it in Scotland.

I would NEVER pay $400 for one!!!! Although I see the Gringo is a "cheap" $159 Wink. Trouble is no flip up visor

I would probably pay up to $300 for it.

Also, if anyone is looking for the new CB1100

That looked like a pretty good deal to me.

It is pricey! That's why I don't own one already. I believe they will come down in price once the craze is over. At least I hope so! I would definitely pay $280 - $320, but $400 is crazy. Plus I want the bubble visor, which ads another $40! They need to come down in price at least 25%, preferably 30%.

Bubble is an absolute must! I agree that it should come down, particularly if many of us agree on the price being too high and hold out.

$9000...I would prefer it with wire wheels and twin exhaust- the 2014 version is better and I would get one if it was the blue/red/white concept CB1100.

if I can wrangle getting one at "cost" then I'll have a bullitt this year, but yes that 400$ price tag is nuts
