This years (early) Fall ride will be to Mt Greylock:

http://www.mass.gov/dcr/parks/mtGreylock/

Date - Saturday 3rd October

Rain date - Saturday 10th or Sunday 11th October.

This is a 3hr+ drive to get there. We will likely take the scenic route there followed by a faster ride back via the Pike or Rt 2. Early start is required ~ 8am meeting with breakfast or 8.45am - 9am scheduled to leave. Meeting place and Route to be determined so suggestions welcome.

Note: If you cant make this then dont worry there will be other rides towards the end of October (late Fall ride) and November as weather permits. No doubt shorter in duration though.

Hope to see you all there,
cheers
Andy

If we were to take back/ scenic roads to Rt.2 just past Gardner and then take 2 the rest of the way, that'd be cool, wouldn't it? I haven't done the hairpin on a bike in like 15 years. Although on a saturday, it's likely to be a slow procession of minivans and motorhomes.  Tongue

Yep, a Saturday ride will have to contend with some steady traffic, the only thing that might help is that we're leaving early.
Maybe the earlier the better?

I would like to join in the fun too.

I'll try to make it happen.  May take a more direct route back to Portland though...

I'm happy to put you up if you want to come down on Friday eve. Otherwise I'm sure we can make a rendezvous spot on 495 some place.

I'm in Haverhill, maybe I could meet you on the trip down and ride in with you?  I'd suggest a spot, but you'd be heading down 495 or 95 depending where we're all meeting up?

So where are we all meeting up?  Is there a known good breakfast spot closer to Rt.2 and 495?   Or even Rt.2 and 95?

Let me know...

thanks

The 11th might be better for me, my wife is planning on Topsfield fair on the 3rd most likely and I'd really like to ride with the group.
